UN Women is the United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. UN Women supports UN Member States as they set global standards for achieving gender equality, and works with governments and civil society to design laws, policies, programmes and services needed to ensure that the standards are effectively implemented and truly benefit women and girls worldwide.
Ashley is a first-year student pursuing a dual degree between Sciences Po and Columbia University. Having chaired at conferences including Singapore Model United Nations and Singapore International Relations Conference, she is more than excited to be on board LHIMUN’s ECOSOC team this year. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, making (and eating) salmon pasta, and badgering her Chinese and French friends to speak to her in their native languages. Do feel free to approach her if you are amenable to teaching her a fourth language!
