United Nations Economic and Social Committee (ECOSOC)
Established in 1945 as one of the six main organs of the United Nations, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) is primarily responsible for addressing economic, social and environmental concerns worldwide. The ECOSOC provides policy reviews and recommendations on topics including the observance of fundamental human rights, sustainable development and international cooperation on economic matters in a bid to actualise socio-economic progress on a global scale.

My name is Nacha Rapeerattanakul and I am from Thailand - in the province right next next to Bangkok. I'm in the dual degree between Sciences Po and Columbia and I am majoring in Economics & Societies which is one of the reasons why I've chosen to chair ECOSOC! I have been participating in MUN since middle school starting from local conferences as a page to international conferences as a judge in the ICJ. Throughout my MUN experiences, I've mostly been involved in the HRC and so this will be a relatively new experience for me as well. My other hobbies aside from MUN include binge watching Netflix, attempting to cook various recipes, and taking my dog on long walks.
